The Boker Plus Mad Man is a small, fixed blade version of French custom knife maker Franck Souville's Bad Guy slip joint. Stout and sturdy, the Mad Man offers similar performance in a reliable fixed blade platform with a compact design for ease of carry. A similar clip point blade come in full tang, dark stonewashed D2 tool steel paired with green canvas Micarta handle scales in a three-finger handle.
Brand new, direct from Boker Knives.
Blade: Just like its folding cousin the Mad Man has a broad, flat ground clip point blade for the perfect balance of durability and cutting performance. Blasted and tumbled, the dark stonewashed D2 tool steel blade is discreet and hides wear from use while looking great.
Handle: Contoured canvas Micarta handle scales pinned to the full tang deliver a solid handle with secure three-finger grip. The hollow tube allows for lanyard attachment to give added real estate. Micarta is handsome, durable and offers traction when wet.
Sheath: Carries via a Kydex sheath with removable belt clip.
D2 Tool Steel: Used as a die cutting steel since WW II, D2 offers a good combination of hardness and wear resistance with moderate toughness and stain resistance. High chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) gives D2 better corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels.
