Polish custom knife maker Ostap Hel is back with his second collaboration with WE Knives, the Peer titanium frame lock flipper. Unlike the diminutive Mote, the Peer has Hel's signature slim and sleek design lines delivered with precision in high performance materials. This version comes with a gray stonewashed 20CV blade, orange g10 overlays and gray titanium frame.
Brand new, direct from WE Knife Co.
Blade: Made from high performance CPM-20CV, the spear like blade of the Peer has a high saber grind, full length false edge swedge and discreet gray stonewashed finish. This is a powerful piercing blade with balanced slicing performance and durability. A ceramic ball bearing pivot delivers fast, smooth deployment via the flipper tab that doubles as an index guard.
Handle: The streamline, coffin shaped handle is slim in the pocket and secure in the hand. G10 overlays provide traction and a contoured feel along with the chamfered edges of the gray titanium frame. A hardened steel lock face offers smooth, reliable operation and rock solid lockup from the integral frame lock. A minimalist, open back construction is completed with a single barrel spacer, dual custom titanium collars and a blind screw clip.
Carries via a right hand, tip-up only, 3D machined titanium pocket clip.
CPM 20CV: CPM 20CV is a highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel, analogous to Bohler M390 and CTS-204P, and offers some of the best corrosion resistance and wear resistance in combination with a relative ease of sharpening. These properties along with a working hardness in the low 60s HRC make 20CV a prime choice among custom and production makers.
