7.62x39 - 123 Grain FMJ - MAXX Tech NFR - 500 Rounds
If you’re an AK-47 lover – and you miss the affordable steel-cased 7.62x39 ammunition that used to flow in from Russia – then we’re about to set your little heart at ease. MAXX Tech NFR ammo is not from Russia, but it still features the steel cases that let you get away with paying for less costly copper!
This ammo’s cases were imported from Eastern Europe. They are coated with polymer to protect them against corrosion in storage, as well as reduce friction that could complicate feeding and cycling. The cases’ primers are Berdan style, albeit noncorrosive. It is technically possible to reload Berdan-primed steel cases, but you would need special equipment, hard-to-find component primers, and more time and patience than you probably lay claim to.
This ammo’s 123 grain full metal jacket bullets do not attract a magnet. They have lead cores and brass jackets and were actually made in the United States! This ammo was also assembled in the great state of Nebraska, which makes it a substantially more patriotic purchase than the Russian steel-cased 7.62x39 you’re already accustomed to.
