Celebrating a decade of knife manufacturing Hogue has teamed up with custom knife maker Allen Elishewitz to deliver the Deka folder. A fantastic everyday carry design, the Deka is equipped with the Ambidextrous ABLE Lock mechanism, an upgraded bar lock mechanism, and premium materials. Light weight, high performance and excellent fit and finish make this a winning daily carry design. This version comes with a stonewashed clip point blade and black G10 handles. Gen 2 features reduced handle screw construction and a deep carry pocket clip.
Brand new, direct from Hogue Knives.
Blade: The sub 2.5 mm thick clip point blade has a high saber grind and spine swedge tapering the point for exceptional performance and utility. Dual, milled black thumb studs offer ambidextrous deployment of the blade which rides smooth on phosphor bronze washers while the jimped thumb ramp delivers enhanced traction in use. The stonewashed CPM-20CV blade hides wear and is easy to maintain.
Handle: Inset partial liners support the solid G10 handle scales joined by three barrel spacers in an easy to maintain open back construction. Milled crosshatch texture pairs with a generous index groove for a secure and ergonomic grip. The ABLE lock is smooth in operation providing ambidextrous action and rock solid lock up (read more below).
Carries via a reversible stainless steel deep carry clip.
ABLE Lock: The "Ambidextrous Bar Lock Enhanced" or ABLE Lock incorporates superior finish and geometry for smoother operation, a tougher lock bar and Wolff omega springs making it an excellent evolution of its close cousin the AXIS lock mechanism.
CPM-20CV: CPM-20CV (analog to M390 and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high level edge retention and corrosion resistance. Relatively easy to sharpen, the coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
