Eran Manasherov follows in his father Boris' footsteps with his first Boker design, the Aluma flipper. The Aluma delivers a full size tactical flipper with contemporary style. Contoured matte gray aluminum and wood inlays form a comfortable and stylish handle complementing the stonewashed D2 tool steel blade. Lightweight and well-balanced with equal measures of visual appeal and performance the Aluma marks another winning design collaboration.
Brand new, direct from Boker Knives.
Blade: Stonewashed D2 tool steel comes with a wear hiding stonewashed finish, balanced high saber grind and stylish full length spine swedge. Riding smoothly on a ball bearing pivot the blade deploys via the blade milling or the low profile flipper tab. Jimping on the spine and flipper provide traction with added safety from the generous ricasso.
Handle: Hard anodized aluminum forms the handle with a contoured design as eye catching as it is ergonomic. Wood inlays and satin hardware contrast the matte gray handles while the inset steel liner lock provides rock solid lockup for heavy use and smooth operation.
Carries via a right hand milled stainless steel pocket clip.
D2 Tool Steel: Used as a die cutting steel since WW II, D2 offers a good combination of hardness and wear resistance with moderate toughness and stain resistance. High chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) gives D2 better corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels.
