Fly fisherman and knife maker Joe Mangiafico designed the Brook from Boker Plus to fill the role of versatile outdoor utility blade and bird & trout knife. The Brook does it in style with a layered and inlaid multicolor G10 handle that offers modern performance with a striking look inspired by a species of trout. This "yellow trout" version has yellow over orange G10 scales and a polished VG10 blade.
Brand new, direct from Boker Knives.
Blade: Made from high polished VG10 stainless steel the simple drop point blade comes with a high flat grind for solid slicing and piercing while the sub-3 inch length keeps it maneuverable for versatile and control. Jimping on the spine provides plenty of traction for a sure grip.
Handle: Contoured layered G10 scales attached to the full tang are inspired by the speckled pattern of the yellow trout. The handle is comfortable for extended use with a colorful style that is easy to find on the beach or trail. A copper tube allows for lanyard attachment.
Sheath: Carries via a Kydex sheath with removable belt clip.
VG10: Japanese Takefu VG10 is a high-carbon stainless steel that takes a fine edge and holds it well. Often hardened to 60-61 HRC in high-end kitchen knives, edge retention and toughness are on par with 440C with better corrosion resistance. A solid choice for small pocket knives, an acute, high polished edge delivers optimal slicing performance.
